I should have it up sometime tomorrow. Stay tuned.

Over at Cuzoogle, Michael put up a post on a great site called Liquid Generation. Last night while I was watching the Flames/Oilers game, I thought I would look around the site to see what it was like. I was really impressed, especially with the extreme videos.
Of all the videos I have watched on the internet, I watched a lot of my favorites last night, and they were all on that site. Michael gave a list of videos that readers might like, so I will compile a list of the videos I enjoyed.
There are much more fun videos over at Liquid Generation, and I highly recommend that you check it out, weather your at work with nothing to do, or just sitting home on a bored Sunday waiting for Wrestlemania to start.

I was reading a post over at Cosh’s blog on the Edmonton Oilers, and he stated, what I consider, an amazing fact about the trio of young players they have.
If you combine the ages of Sam Gagner, Andrew Cogliano, and Robert Nilsson, it adds to 59. Isn’t Chris Chelios almost that now?
I don’t consider Edmonton one of my teams (I only cheer for Philadelphia and in the west, Colorado), but usually if I watch one of their games, I cheer for them as long as it isn’t against on of mine favorites.
I think it would be a great story if the Oilers were to go on a run for the cup with such a young team, and they are tied for the 8th seed now, so its not impossible at all.

Today’s photo is called “Stop The World“, and I chose this photo because I love photos that I consider to be right in between landscape and abstract.
I was going through the interesting photos section of Flickr, and this one caught my eye as soon as the page loaded.
The photographer’s name is Fabio Sabatini, and you can look at his Flickr photos here, or his personal blog here. This guy has some great pictures, and I will be showing more of his work throughout this segment.

Before I get into this post, I find it hilarious that right after I put up a post that says I have nothing to talk about, I come up with a new segment, and a cool wrestling post.
Now, on the the world of sports entertainment!
1. BunnyMania Lumberjack Match: Ashley & Maria vs. The Glamazon & Melina
This match would be a lot better if Maria was not going to be in it. Out side of wrestling she seems like a great person, but the character they use for her is awesome, and she just can’t wrestle.
I know she needs have a part in the match, since she just posed for Play Boy, but I would rather see her as a referee or something.
Danny’s Pick: Maria and Ashley
2. Finlay vs. JBL – Belfast Brawl
I don’t know what a Belfast Brawl is, but I hope its something that these guys can work with. I really like both these guys, but I would rather them both be heels, but I guess WWE doesn’t run their business on my opinion.
Wrestle Maina usually sees the faces come out on top, with maybe a heel or two winning. I would pick JBL to be one of those few heels, but since nothing has been going Finlay’s way recently, I think that he is in store for a win.
Danny’s Pick: Fit Finlay
3. 24-Man Battle Royal – Winner faces ECW Champion
If Paul Heyman were dead, he would roll in his grave over what has become of ECW (Entertainment Championship Wrestling). This is basically a match for people who were good enough to be on the card, but they weren’t involved in anything to get on to the card.
There are some fun wrestlers in there, so I guess it could be something. I’m just glad they didn’t put CM Punk through this, and I am hoping that he will be moved to another brand soon.
Danny’s Pick: If Vince were cool, he would let Tommy Dreamer have another run but since he is not, Kane (I don’t know why, just a feeling).
4. SmackDown vs. Raw: Batista vs. Umaga
I don’t think this match will be exciting at all. I don’t like it when two big guys have a match, nothing happens except a bout that looks like its from 1960.
Even though Raw is the “top” brand (I like Smackdown), Smackdown always seems to come out on top of these brand battles.
Danny’s Pick: Batista
5. Money in the Bank Ladder Match
I haven’t watched a Wrestle Mania since the big 20, so I have never watched a Money in the Bank Ladder match. The highlights look great so I am expecting a good match.
Jeff Hardy (one of my favorites) was a clear winner before he got him self suspended, so that only makes the match more exciting, because no one knows who will win.
I think it will either be CM Punk or Mr. Kennedy again. Kennedy lost his case he won last year, and I always thought that he would be brought up to the main event scene quickly.
Jericho and MVP have titles so I don’t see them winning. John Morrison, Carlito, and Shelton Benjamin are all on ECW, and no where as popular as Punk, so I don’t see either of them winning.
Danny’s Pick: I hear the Punk is in the dog house, so I will have to go with Ken Kennedy.
6. Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels (Career Threatening Match)
This will be Flair’s last match, and there is no one greater that my all time favorite, HBK, to beat him. Steve Austin said that Flair should have been given one last run with the title, and loose it in a dramatic match, which I think would have been great, but I guess “big” HHH comes first.
I think this should at least be the final match on the card, because it will be the best match. Two of these guys are the best in ring wrestlers that ever lived, and will always be remembered for that.
Danny’s Pick: Ric Flair, but he won’t win the match.
7. Floyd “Money” Mayweather vs. Big Show
I am dreading this match. Mayweather can’t act, or wrestle, and even though he is the face, the crowd boos him. I actually feel bad for Floyd, but I don’t think they will let an un-beatable boxer loose a wrestling match.
Danny’s Pick: Floyd Mayweather
8. World Heavyweight Champion Edge vs. Undertaker
This is going to be a great match. Edge has always been a favorite of mine, and everyone loves Taker. This match will be the better of the two World championship matches, and Undertaker will walk away with the title.
I didn’t choose Taker because of his winning streak, but because both of these guys lost the title to injury, but Taker is the only one of the two that hasn’t re-gained it.
Danny’s Pick: The Undertaker
9. WWE Championship Randy Orton vs. Triple H vs. John Cena
This match has the biggest ass hole in the game, Orton, vs. the two supermen of the WWE. I will be rooting for Cena, because Orton is apparently a jerk outside the ring, just like he is inside, and if you really pay attention to wrestling, you know why I don’t want HHH to win (even though he will).
For some reason, everyone hates Cena, and they say people who like him aren’t real wrestling fans, but he could carry crappy wrestlers through much better matches than Batista or Hogan.
Cena will eventually get the title back, since he lost it due to an injury, but HHH has gone too long with out a 3 year long title run, and he has probably been crying to Vince to get it back for a while.
Danny’s Pick:I refuse to pick HHH, so I am going with Cena.

Overall, this can be a good PPV if all the superstars work their best. I am really looking forward to the ladder match, Flairs match, and the World Heavyweight title match.
I will have a few review of the the PPV up either Sunday night or Monday morning, so be sure to check back and give your thoughts.
Note: Sometime next week, I will write a full post on why I hate HHH so much, and why you should too.

This picture is called, “Lines That Connect“.
I live in Canada and I love pictures like this. Anything with ice and snow, or especially the northern lights will really catch my attention, so expect pictures like this a lot.
The photographer of this photo is Peter Bowers, so if you like this photo, you should check out more of his work.

Sorry, I got nothing. I have been writing at Cuzoogle, so you can head over there if you want to read some great stuff.
The only thing I can think of right now is Wrestle Mania (which I will be watching!), and I will be posting about that tomorrow.
Stay tuned..

Flyers working their way up March 24, 2008

The Flyers earned their 3rd straight win last night against the Islanders, which puts them in sole possession of the 7th seed, and only a win away from 6th.
For a while, it looked like the Flyers didn’t have a prayer of keeping their playoff spot, but with the recent win streak, their playoff hopes are looking a lot better.

Game Scoring
Flyers: Vinny Prospal, Braydon Coburn, Daniel Briere, Scott Hartnell
Islanders: Miro Satan

Something that I find really amazing is that the Toronto Maple Leafs are only 4 points out of a playoff spot now (not the Flyers spot). All year people were making fun of them, saying they didn’t have a prayer, and now they can easily grab the 8th seed.
This is the most exciting time of the hockey season, and it gets more interesting with every game.
I don’t hate the Leafs, so I don’t mind if they make it to the playoffs, just as long as they don’t get their at the Flyers expense.

A few weeks ago, I bought Cory Doctorow’s “Someone Comes To Town, Someone Leaves Town”, and I got really into it. When I got about half way through the book, I just stopped reading.
For some reason, when I read books, I go through spurts, it actually reminds me of the daily traffic of this blog. Some days it will be very high, some… not so much.
Now that I’m thinking of the book, I am starting to want to read it, so maybe I’ll start back at it tomorrow on a relaxing Easter Sunday.
