Well, I guess now it would be a PGA tour beard, since the Flyers took the Capitals out of the playoffs.

Here is a challenge, see if you can look at this for ten seconds in a row.

Well, the Flyers team might, but their fans sure have a lot more than Montreal fans. We didn’t start a riot when we dumped the Capitals, and we didn’t so stupid things like this:

Fan Throws Beer:

Rocky Balboa:

Stay classy Montreal.

Angela Dodson: She was a patient at Ravenscar. She… jumped off the roof.

John Constantine: I thought you said she was murdered?

Angela Dodson: Yeah, well, Isabel wouldn’t have taken her own life.

John Constantine: Yeah, what kind of mental patient kills herself? That’s just crazy.

I guess the right title for this post should be: “Playoff Beard: Or lack thereof”, but who cares.

At least he is trying his best, and it could be a big part of us getting to the second round.

Daniel, if you let it grow and prosper, who knows how far we will get.

Felicia Daase had little choice but to watch in horror as her friends plunged “like an elevator” through the floor of a local church during a Christian rock concert in this British Columbia community late Friday night.

Several dozen people were injured at Abbotsford’s Central Heights Church when people were sent falling several metres into the basement below. A mostly teenage audience of about 1,000 had gathered in the church to watch a popular Christian rock band.

Seconds later, the large lighting and sound system, which was attached to a metal stand extending up from the floor, toppled over onto audience members as the wood beneath it gave way, witnesses said.

“The whole floor just went down, kind of like an elevator, it just went straight down,” Daase said yesterday from her home in nearby Chilliwack.

“And then I saw the beam that holds the lights and stuff, and it fell about five pews in front of me. A whole bunch of people were under it.” Full Story

According to Google News, it is, because its listed under the entertainment section. I don’t see why it would be put under that section, when “Canada” and ”Health” are choices.

I wonder if the 40 people who fell through the floor found it entertaining.

From John Boruk:

Mike Richards had beer dumped on him when he was in the penalty box in the final moments of the third period. I still haven’t seen an occurrence of that happening since I’ve been covering the team. Flyers fans may be intimidating, but respectfully, they don’t cross the line.

Mirtle has the video. This fan is a stupid jackass. I hope he lost a big bet on tonight’s game. And some people think our fans are idiots..

The series between the Flyers and Habs is tied 1 all after tonight’s 4-2 win, it should be 2-0 for the Flyers if they weren’t so stupid the last game.

Marty Biron is the greatest person to ever live, I’m not sure he even is human, based on those saves he made tonight.

Scoring:

Flyers: R.J Umberger (2), Jeff Carter, Daniel Briere

Canadiens: Saku Koivu, Andrei Markov

This is really big for the Flyers, they get to go home now with a win already under their belt.

Lets go Flyers!

The Philadelphia Phantoms have defeated the Albany River Rats, 3-2, at the Times Union Center in Albany, N.Y., in the longest game in the 72-year history of the American Hockey League.

Ryan Potulny’s goal at 2:58 of the fifth overtime period gave the Phantoms the win and a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven East Division semifinal series. Game 6 is Saturday afternoon in Philadelphia.

The winning goal was scored at 12:39 a.m. EDT on Friday morning, five hours and 38 minutes after the game began. Full Story

Why can’t the Flyers do something cool like that?

I found this picture at the New Yorker while reading a piece on Sean Avery. The article was ok, but this picture is great.
