WWE chairman Vince McMahon was rushed to hospital after a large electric sign crashed on top of him at the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
Vince had just given away $500,000 in “McMahon’s Million Dollar Mania,” when lighting equipment crashed onto the stage and a large electric sign toppled onto him.
The extent of any injuries were not known at press time, however, the WWE chief was immediately treated at the scene by paramedics who fitted him with a neck brace, loaded him onto a stretcher and rushed him to a local medical facility via ambulance.
WWE officials said that they are conducting a preliminary investigation into the equipment failure and a statement on Mr.McMahon’s health will be issued soon.
I hope that these people are just playing along with the storyline, because if they believe that he was actually hurt they are beyond stupid.

The Philadelphia Flyers signed defenceman Steve Eminger to a one-year contract Sunday.
Eminger was acquired by Philadelphia along with a 2008 third-round pick from the Washington Capitals on June 20 for a first-round pick in the 2008 draft.
“Steve is a young two-way defenseman that will fit in nicely with our group,” said Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren.
The 24-year-old collected only two assists in 20 regular-season games for Washington last season. He added a goal during the Caps’ seven-game Eastern conference quarterfinal loss to Philly.
This is great for Philadelphia. A lot of people think this was a bad move, but its not like Steve is an aging veteran. This guy is only 25 and was never really given the chance to develop in Washington, which is what he will get in Philadelphia. With Paul Holmgren at the helm I am not worried at all, this guys knows his hockey.
In Holmgren we trust.

Sources are telling Sportsnet that Carter has agreed to a three-year deal with the Philadelphia Flyers that is believed to pay him no less than $15 million.
Should the deal be completed, the Flyers remove the risk of Carter — a Group 2 free agent on July 1st — getting any offer sheets from teams wanting to scoop up the Flyers centre. Full Story
This is great news for the Flyers. I like that the deal is only for three years, because that will give both the team and Carter to see how he will fit into the future. He is obviously a 1st or 2nd line center, and I think he needs to play one of those roles to go to his full potential. My suggestion is to put Briere on the wing of Richards and let Carter take the second line role.
Next up is Umberger.

Yesterday in my song & link post, one of the links would bring you to the Blog of Hilarity where there was a post about another teacher/student sex scandal. This one is not set in stone, but lets just pretend it is for a bit.
Usually in these cases, they try to get the child help, in hopes of keeping him from insane from the horrible thoughts this experience has put into his head. While these adults are trying to do this, all these 14 and 15 year old boys are out bragging to all their friends, and saying if the teacher wasn’t in jail, they would do it again.
I understand why they punish the teacher, but there is no reason anyone can think that a 14 year old boy has a problem because he wants to have sex with an older woman, I would worry more if he never.
Kudos to you kid, I wish I could have been that cool when I was 14.
